As a new academic year gets underway, a look back at this summer's graduations

Thank you so much to all those who contributed to Zoe's fund in 2022-23. Because of the generous gifts received, free gown hire could be provided to 58 graduates on their day of celebration.

We are hugely grateful for your support.

On the 16th October, 2022, to raise sponsorship for Zoe’s Fund, Zoe’s mum Shella took part in an obstacle race, as part of a team being led by Zoe’s sister, Hannah, who is a personal trainer.

“It was a challenge,” Shella said, “I have many nasty bruises for my efforts! But I kept going by remembering Zoe, and my great feelings of pride for Hannah, and we ALL completed it. Next time I’ve suggested something a bit easier for me! We are so pleased to do this for Aston in Zoe’s memory. Aston was a place she loved to be, and the University staff were so good - and still are - in supporting us.”

Kerrie Holland, Director of Alumni Relations and Development at Aston University, said: “We’re very grateful to the Robinson family for their efforts in supporting Aston students in this way. Graduation is such a joyful time, and the Zoe Robinson Fund means that more students will be able to join family and friends to celebrate their achievements”

Thank you so much for donating to the 2021 Zoe Robinson Appeal in September. In total, 77 graduates received gowns this year, allowing them to participate in the graduation ceremonies across the week.

Videos of ceremonies from graduation week can be found online here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlgMIc65fPk&t=1334s

The Zoe Robinson Appeal will continue to support the gifting of gowns at future graduations, meaning more graduates are able to attend their big day. This is only possible with the support received by donors such as you. On behalf all recipients, thank you once again.
