Aston Ravens are hoping to raise £800 to subsidise our new cheerleading uniforms which will be worn at our university cheerleading competitions (British Cheerleading Association and ICC) and our varsity performances.
We are the official cheerleading team at Aston University going into our 9th year of running. In 2019/20 we came 3rd in Level 1 All Girls University Nationals at Future Cheer, Manchester, in our last competition before Covid.
As a University club, we are very aware that cheerleading can be an expensive sport and therefore, we try to subsidise the associated costs as much as possible, this ensures that we are being as inclusive as we can be. For our 2022 season we have decided to update our uniforms with a bit more ✨sparkle✨. These will be the first new uniforms we have had since the founding of the club back in 2013! As you can imagine, the cost this poses is a big financial burden on the club, which unfortunately does not receive the same funding as BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) clubs.
Throughout the fundraising period we will be hosting a number of events in order to raise funds such as:
- Super Bowl event at Walkabout Birmingham
- Bring your friend to cheer
- Krispy Kreme sale around campus
By kindly sponsoring our cause, you will be helping to ensure cheer at Aston University is an accessible sport and making 38 girls very happy. Send us to our cheerleading competitions with new kit and the confidence we need to perform!
Where will the money go?
All the funding raised will contribute directly towards the subsidising of cheer uniform, should we receive extra funds we will invest this back into the club.
Cost breakdown below
- Price per uniform: £126
- Price paid by members: £80
- Price difference needed to be found by the club: £46
- Number of uniforms purchased: 38
We have some great and unique rewards to thank everyone who donates, whatever the amount you might give. Check them out
